Hi there!
My program requires that I take the basic life support certification through the American heart association prior to entry. I'm doing a hybrid version (learn materials through online course, go over techniques with in class instructor, take exam). I'm nervous for this because knowing I'm being tested/critiqued/watched on my technique makes me second guess myself and I really want to pass. I've done CPR/first aid classes before (although it's been a while...) and was wondering if anyone can give any insight on the BLS for healthcare professionals course? Thanks!

I took this course in person. My instructor was awesome and laid back, and the written test portion is easy and fairly short. We went over everything in the one day, so maybe it's even more helpful that you'll be able to review the material before doing the in-class portion. You'll be a-okay!

I took this course in person as well. It isn't as bad as some people think. Before we started, the instructor asked if we had all taken a CPR class before. It definitely speeds things up if that's the case. My class was only 2 hours and we took a short multiple choice test at the end. I had it graded as soon as I was done and received my card within minutes.
I know people who have taken the hybrid courses and they don't have anything bad to say about the process. I just felt like it adds another day/step instead of taking the in-class version.
