Hi,
My friend didn't have an account here so I am posting the question her behalf. She just completed her Bachelors in Science in biology and psychology and is a pre-med student. The problem is that she is not a u.s. citizen or permanent resident. She has done the high school here and went to community college then university here in states. Waiting for G.C interview since 2 years. Is considered a local student not a international student. Has no visa so technically not a international student. She paid all the in-state tuition rates. Has a valid SS and Work Authorization Card.

But the problem arises now as she cannot apply to any medical schools here as almost all the schools require permanent residency or citizenship. She cannot go to Caribbean as when waiting for the green card interview travel is not permitted. Now this year deadline will be passed for Aug 2011. The next prospect will be for Aug 2012 admission. And some schools might except her as interntional student with stellar mcat and high fees. As she does not have any financial loans or aid avaliable to her.

So , for these 2 years of gap from Aug 2010-2012. She will take mcat in sept 2010. She is hoping maybe either she does a second bachelor or takes part into a BMS Program. She is not sure if BMS program will accept her due to the status she currently has. What do you guys suggest to do in this situation. I mean all she can do is wait for the interview date until the 2012 admission as this year there is no hope of any interview. But she doesn't want to waste 2 years.

What kind of program do you guys think she can apply to and be eligible for in this situation???

Not sure if this is the right to post it.
