Board scores as a DO

I am a DO with a 238 step 1 and a 644 COMLEX 1. I've been interested in internal medicine and possibly some fellowships within IM. Honestly though, I haven't given it much thought and I'm sure third year will give me a much better idea.

With my board scores, what particular fields are out? I don't mean troll, I know these are decent scores, but as a DO with only a slightly above average step I know there are fields that will be out of reach. If I do become interested in something more competitive than IM, will my COMLEX suffice for most specialties within the AOA?

According to that survey, program directors in most specialties don't consider DOs any better than IMGs.

Depends upon the specialty, and also doesn't show if they're two separate camps...ie, MD <-> IMG vs MD <-> DO

Thanks. I'll definitely look at this more thoroughly when the time comes and I have a better idea what field I want to pursue.
