So we all know that certain schools have the highest board pass rates. Does anyone have any idea on how schools are doing for having the highest average board scores??

I think you can get an idea about how well people are scoring on the boards based on match lists, but it's not the best evaluator. For any given school if you see matches in derm/rad/optho ect.. you know that those students did well. However for the less competitive fields you don't know how those students did, and to assume they did poorly and that's why they went into FP or IM is not a good assumption. So I think you can get an idea from the match lists but it's not necessarily a complete picture. That's just what I've deduced anyway.FS-Pro said:I'd also be interested to hear this. Do you think that by looking at Resindency match list you might get an idea? Maybe see how many students got into "competitive" residencies. I know it sounds kind of stupid, but maybe???

I know that at KCOM, the COMLEX Level I pass rate is 98% and the USMLE Step I is something like 89%... both well above the national average. If you are unsure, I would just ask the admissions offices of the schools. This is a valuable statistic for you all as applicants to have when you are deciding between all your acceptance letters!

As it has already been discussed, it isn't a perfect determiner of how well students did, but KCOM had one of the most impressive matches two years ago. They beat out most MD programs for the amount of students that matched into super competitive residencies. I know that AZCOM passes almost everyone, but that doesn't mean they do well. I wish they would tell us because I have to choose between a handful and I like more than one. Any little extra info helps, right!

Good luck in the meanwhile!

He taught biochem at OSU for like seven years. Anyways, I have been doing research with him over the last year. He may have left the year you started.
