I'm taking the board part one in August, does anyone have any tips for it other than the standard dentaldecks and boards YouTube videos? How long did you study? Not sure how much time to dedicate considering I'm doing research this summer as well.

Also I'm sure I can find this out elsewhere, but could you ace dental anatomy and do worse in another section or do you have to pass every section?

You have to pass every section. I liked Kaplan notes and used separate resources for the dental anatomy and biochemistry

Your score is an overall score the NBDE part I. If you do better on one section it off-sets the others. It’s not like the DAT.

It was under my impression that you can actually fail a section the boards....

I will check them out, thank you.

Seems like most say you can just pass overall, but I won't fail any sections ideally.

I passed my boards a few years ago, but remember it said that one has to have a passing score in each section

I’m using B&B during my summer semester right now. 1-2 hours a day and should finish the course right about when my summer semester ends. Then I’ll have two weeks before my test date and I’m just gonna hit practice questions nonstop then (ASDA released papers and tangy)

Hi - what is your opinion about B&B course?

I'm only two days in on the four week plan lol so I can't give much of a review yet. Couldn't find many first hand accounts of people that have used this and what they thought online, but a decent amount of people at my school purchased it. Fingers crossed! I will comment back later on how things are going

I would recommend checking out the 300 facts about dental anatomy videos on youtube for the dental anatomy section, and downloading the boards mastery app. I spent about 5 days studying for boards using these two resources, maybe 8 hours a day, and the dental decks, and I passed just fine. You're never going to feel ready, so I think it's best just to get it over with and enjoy what break you have. I don't belive you need to pass each section, just receive a cumulative pass score.
