Hi all, I've looked everywhere and I'm becoming very confused in regards to boggy swelling and joint effusions. From what I understand is joint effusions refer to when there is an increase in synovial fluid and that causes swelling? boggy swelling in RA occurs because of the synovium becoming greatly thicked in RA. Wouldn't the increase in synoviocytes in RA cause increased synovial fluid too? sorry im just really confused so would appreciate any help. thanks!
