For bond enthalpies, will we ever have to draw out the lewis structures to see which bonds are being broken? I haven't come across a question like that yet (since I haven't started destroyer yet).
Why would you draw out the Lewis structure? You just quickly sketch the molecule and see what breaks/forms. Most of the time it's basic molecules that you can see in your head.

In some cases you might have to draw out the structure to see which bonds are broken and which bonds are formed. For example, the combustion of propane to CO2 and water would be great practice. Draw out the structure and balance it. If you are able to do this you should be fine.
