Hi,
someone mentioned that there was a book about residencies(specialities) in dentistry. I think he mentioned that it was an AADSAS book. Does anyone know the name of the book?

I'd also be very interested!!
🙄

Thebeyonder,

Sorry, I've never heard of it. I checked www.adea.org and couldn't find it listed under the publications.

AADSAS doesn't actually print publications, do they? In the event that they do, would the book more likely be printed by PASS, since it deals with residencies?

Sorry I couldn't be of more help -- such a book would be extremely interesting.

Yes the book does exist but the name excapes me at the time. I found it by going to the library at the dental school here at Michigan and it was right next to the book we're all using now.

Call the ADA about this book. They sell 3 different books about residencies. One pertains to GPR programs, one deals with Oral Surgery programs, and the last book deals with endo, perio, pedo, ortho, prosth., etc. I believe the books cost about $25-30/book. These books are very informative. They will give you tel. #, number of applicants, number of accepted residents/year, tuition, and desirable qualities of an acceptable candidate. Good Luck.
