I see we are missing this in the list for shelf exams. I wanted to know the best books fot the surgery shelf?

Read Surgical Recall during the clerkship then run through MKSAP2 a couple of time the week of the shelf. I got about an 80 on the shelf with that strategy and I would consider myself an average student.

Its only missing because it takes me a long time to sift through all the threads and remove the posts dealing with Surgery books. I am working on it though. The info is "hidden" in the Shelf Exam Sticky.
