Hello people. I have just finished my Spring semester with all A's!! WHOO!!! WEEE!! Anyways, I wanted to ask if there are any books out there that you would recommend me reading to help be prepared to answer interview questions relating to my knowledge of this profession. Also, any recommended interview books out there with helpful tips during the interview? Honestly, I do not know much about this profession except that it PAYS well, and the work environment is excellent, meaning not too stressful, and also that there is a big demand for pharmacists. I've set my goals on this career since my freshman/soph year in high school and have thought about other careers, but have always came back to this. My gpa is excellent, but this whole interview part of USN is what is making me anxious. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks!~

Hehe well...the knowledge that you do have for the profession is probably a fairly unique situation within the pharmacy career. You might check the interview feedback forums to find other students' reviews of their interviews at USN. I know many people post questions that they were asked from their interviews. You will really want to go read up on the different types of pharmacy practice settings, as well as determining possible trends within the pharmacy career (i.e., taking on more and more responsibilities, including vaccinations and becoming more integrated within clinical response teams). There are also stickied posts at the top which provide lots of information about the pharmacy career.

As a tip for the interview, i wouldn't mention the fact that the profession pays well (even though it can); focus on why you need the profession in order to help others. If you have time before your interview, I would recommend shadowing a pharmacist or at least talking to a pharmacist to determine their motivations for doing what they do. If you want basic interview skills coaching, send me a PM. There's a lot to say and I don't feel like typing it out here.
