Hi can someone tell me which books I should read for step 2 ck prep.? Are kaplan video good to go through or not updated ? I have kaplan lecture notes, MTB, and FA.
Any feedback is really appreciated.

I'm studying after a long gap have cleared step 1 in 2008, do u really think just unworld will get me through this enormous task?

Yes, I took step 1 5-6 yrs ago and UWorld (after 1.5 yrs of clerkships and electives) was enough to score well.

I am in the process of finalizing my studies for step 2 CK. I started with Kaplan notes and Qbank, but ultimately my main study resources ended up being MTB II & III and UWorld.

Happy prepping! 🙂

Thanks for your feedback. Good luck !!!

Thanks. I'm planning to take test sometime around June so approx 4 mths ....good enough???

If it comes after your core clerkships (IM, peds, ob/gyn, surgery, psych), then you should be good. Some electives I've noticed can be helpful, e.g. endocrine and ID which I took before the exam.

I don't think you need more than a month to study (of which ~2 weeks should be dedicated study, the rest could be part-time with an elective). If all part-time (no vacation), I would take 2 months to study for it.
