hi friends

could some one please guide me on books for prelim year and also good neuro books for a beginer.

thanks in advance.

For a starting neurology resident, I would recommend:
(1) Geyer, Keating, and Potts. Neurology for the Boards. 2nd edition - good primer that is a boards-worthy starter.
(2) Rowland, et al. Merritt's Neurology. 11th edition - great text to refer to that isn't too long but has what you need for residency.

However, if you are a non-neurology resident or a medical student, I would recommend:
(1) Greenberg, Aminoff, and Simon. Clinical Neurology. 5th edition - a solid symptom oriented-approach to neurology that is easy to carry on the wards.

Have fun.
