Hey SDN!!!

Just 2 questions I'd love your help with:

1. Do you know of any good books for differentiating similar diseases (ie. it tells the key diagnostic features of each disease?). The differential diagnosis books I've seen only list the similar diseases!

Any books for brief 1 sentence explanations of why a particular symptom occurs? Attendings seem to like to pimp about this.

2. Do you know of a very well put together physical examination book? My school asked us to purchase a 1500+ page book!

Sorry for the long post, but would be really appreciative if you can offer your help.😳
Thanks.

English book but http://www.amazon.co.uk/Churchills-Pocketbook-Differential-Diagnosis-Pocketbooks/dp/0443100616 is great. Lists by say symptom or presenting complaint. Then sorts DDs by a surgical sieve and then gives them a traffic light system (green amber red) for common to uncommon.

2.) Bates is good. Macleods' Clinical Examination is good too.
