Hello everyone, I am taking the DAT on 27 July. this is the breakdown of the practice tests I have taken so far. I am feeling very discouraged looking at the scores. I have been practicing and reviewing my tests and notes. still my score is constantly 16. what should I do study effectively and not just hard.? has anyone scored like this on the practice tests and was able to do better on the real test? My goal is to get a 20+ AA.

Here is my honest opinion after working with students for many years. Practice test are meant for practice, there are not any tests, including the ones offered by the ADA that can accurately predict what you will score on your DAT, students often claim to score lower than practice tests and others higher. You are better off focusing your time on learning the concepts and the material. There are many different versions of the DAT and so you need to be prepared for whatever comes you way. Take a break from the practice tests because they are discouraging you and go back to reviewing.

Hope this helps.

I took my exam at the end of January of this year, and my Booster exam scores were much lower than my actual exam. What I did to study effectively is after each practice test, I created an excel sheet with the topics that needed more review vs. questions that I made silly mistakes on. I also watched the video solutions which was SO helpful, and I re did the problem following along and that really helped with solidifying the concepts. Good luck!
