Is Bootcamp better than Crack the DAT for preparing for the RC and PAT section? It would great to hear from those who have used any of the above products/resources.

I'm currently using Bootcamp with Destroyer. While I have been working through the O-Chem, G-Chem, and Bio sections of Destroyer I have also been using the PAT generators on Bootcamp. They generate an unlimited amount of new cube counting, pattern folding, holepunches, angles, and TFE questions. Using these generators has definitely helped me get rather good at these sections but I have only taken one full PAT test on Bootcamp. I have taken 1 practice test from each category to asses how I would initially do on the DAT overall, I feel the bootcamp questions were easier than destroyer questions (destroyer seems to be a great way to prepare!). I want to hone all/most subjects before I take the rest of the practice tests so I can adequately gauge myself prior to taking the real DAT.

I wish Bootcamp had a Keyhole(aperture passing) generator but I'm hoping the 10 practice tests will get me adequate at this section.

I believe that once I got through Destroyer a 2nd time and take all the practice tests on bootcamp I will be more than prepared for every subject BESIDES RC & QR.

To make up for this, I will work through Math Destroyer to improve QR. For RC, however, the only practice will really come from the 5 practice tests on Bootcamp. I believe this will be my least practiced section... which is a shame because even as an English first language, I feel more practice in this area would really help! (My assessment test put me at 19... not sure if this is on the high or low end of my capability without taking more practice tests!)

I cannot speak on the behalf of Crack the DAT.. but for me I feel:
Chads Videos & Quizzes + DAT Destroyer + Math Destroyer + Bootcamp + ADA practice Test will be enough!

The ada practice test I am speaking of is from: http://www.ada.org/~/media/ADA/Education and Careers/Files/dat_test_sampleitems.ashx

Are there more practice ADA tests?

In short... I think the generators are awesome! haha

Theres a 2009 version that Ari from Bootcamp recommends you get. Im about to get order it. w4nt2beDDS I'm pretty much doing the same schedule as you, my DAT is May 26th. I've been focused mostly on Math/Regular Destroyer and Im about to ramp up my schedule this last month a few weeks to keep the PAT strategies relatively fresh

Thanks for the info tbogdan89!

Similar test date, my DAT is May 21st.

Still need to work through Destroyer 2nd time and do Math Destroyer 1 time... Then what ever time left will be used taking the Bootcamp Tests and reviewing content and questions I got wrong. Starting to get real!

Good luck!

Thanks for the response. I'm currently using the same resources as you. I am taking the exam myself the last week of May but I have yet to go through Destroyer once yet. I feel like I maybe spending to much time on content. I guess I'll have to take a bootcamp exam or two to see where I stand. Once again, thanks.

Bootcamp for RC and PAT.

Read two articles from Scientific American each day. Pretend like you actually give a **** about the passage and enjoy it. I remember a passage from the DAT: It was about Komodo Dragons.. It was awesome. Those ****ers will eat a couple times a month and puke it all up if they need to run like mad.

Practice PAT at least 30 minutes a day as well.

RC and PAT are skills you develop over time.. Not the week before.

I got a 25 AA and 23 PAT if you are wondering and I did what I said above.

The DAT is easy. Go get it brotha.

Do you have a breakdown? How long were you studying for, some background, other study materials, etc?
