I feel as though the destroyer gen chem and oChem are way harder than what will be on the DAT. Some of the orgo reactions are just things I've never seen before. I think the destroyer is great for biology because it provides so much info in one question so I plan on doing that for sure but the chemistries are just a pain in the ass. Plus I've heard on SDN the destroyer chemistries are 2-3x harder than the DAT and more complex, so why bother stressing over a hard problem when I can use that time to learn more through practicing more DAT-like questions.

I noticed in bootcamp I can take subject specific tests and I like them because I can test myself and actually understand the questions after going through a topic & then the utilize actual practice tests, whereas destroyer I think is just like a foreign language. Plus I've seen people just use bootcamp and did just fine.

I plan (keyword plan) on doing both, but is it really worth going through the trouble of destroyer for chemistries. I keep hearing that organic is relatively simple and not too complex on the DAT, and gen chem is conceptual like chad's and Bootcamp. What do you think?

Depends on the test and your strengths. For my version of the test:

Biology: Useful for the reasons you mentioned

Organic: Completely overkill compared to what I saw on my real thing. However, depending on the version of the DAT you get maybe it would be useful I frankly don't know. Destroyer had me shaking in my shoes and I was so scared to do my first full length. But once I saw my bootcamp scores I calmed down a little.

General Chemistry: At the time, this section was my strongest and bootcamp, chads, destroyer , and real DAT all kind of felt the same level of "doableness". Not really sure.

I recall you posting a bunch last summer, did you end up voiding the DAT?

I believe DAT destroyer is definitely NOT an overkill. I believe my DAT exam and destroyer were on the same level. Just like how my exam had easy questions, destroyer had easy questions and just like how my DAT had hard questions, destroyer had hard questions.

If you had to choose between the two, 100% go with DATDestroyer. DATDestroyer is much better for the orgo/chem than bootcamp. The reason why it's like a foreign language is because it's teaching you the things you don't know. And Bootcamp is good but it's just to show you where you are stand and honestly you don't need to do bootcamp for chem/orgo, Destroyer alone is enough.

No I never took it because I didn't apply. I'm apply now so I have to take it now. I just remember when I studied last year I felt like chem destroyer was way too hard.
