If this has been asked already, forgive me and let me know, but I could not locate anything.

To those of you who went through a Ph.D. program and were not in a position where you family could lend you financial support, how much did you end up having to borrow during the duration of your program?

I don't know if this is helpful, but the last time I checked on the APPIC website, the median debt for a clinical PhD was 40K (another apa survey had the median debt in the 60's). I am not including PsyD graduates (median of 120K). This level of debt for Ph.D. students (although not great) should be manageable.
