What are your thoughts on the two? I was accepted at both places. BU isn't fully funded, they don't give a stipend during medical school years but they do cover tuition. Which one should I choose?

I don't know a lot about either program, but I've heard good things about Ohio State. IMO given the financial disparity between the two, Ohio State is a no-brainer. If one is fully funded and the other one isn't, then you will end up taking a lot of money in loans that you otherwise wouldn't have to. Columbus also has a MUCH lower COL than Boston. Do you have someplace you could live for free in Boston? Or did you really hate Columbus?

The difference ends up being around $100K because BU covers tuition, just not the stipend for 4 years. BU would be better for me location-wise as I want to stay on the east coast; also BU seems stronger in neuroscience which I'm interested in. However, BU is a much smaller program with only around 6 students compared to 10 for OSU and I'm not sure about the caliber of the program itself. I was biased to BU but now I'm not sure.

I spent two years as a tech in Boston (not at BU though, don't know much about their program) and I'm currently at OSU, so feel free to DM me any questions you have about Columbus.
