I am very excited to have been accepted into all 5 of the DPT programs I applied to! But I am choosing between BU and Simmons because they both offered me great scholarships and finances are definitely a big part of my decision. BU offered me a Sargent Scholar Grant and Simmons offered me a Dean's Merit Grant. Does anyone have any experience with either of these programs? They both seem great to me, but are very different. Simmons has a small, close-knit feel and I got along great with the professor who conducted my interview. I got the impression that I would get lots of individual attention from professors. But I have also heard that their research labs are sub-par and that the facilities in general leave something to be desired. BU on the other hand has larger classes which is a con for me, but it is higher ranked, and seems to have much better research facilities which is important to me. I am having a harder time getting a feel for BU though, since they do not require interviews and I haven't met any faculty or students there. I cannot visit either school before I make my decision because I am currently volunteering abroad and can't afford to fly back. Any insights and opinions would be very much appreciated!
