so I have quite sometime before my step one exam a few months or so--I bought both the Kaplan home study series and the Kaplan subject/video series (cudnt decide between the two)- I wanted to know if its good to do the 9 book subject series in depth and then read the Kaplan home study series just once to make sure nothing is missed out like the US health care system/ epidemiology etc and to annotate that into First Aid--does that seem like a reasonable plan or is it overkill???

I think one set of books is enough, but which one is better kaplan 7 books or 4 books with organ-based review series?

dunno I still get the feeling that both tend to cover some different topics. Ive noticed that even with the videos the 7 series tends to leave a lot out that is covered in the 4 series and vice versa. Yet the 4 series has topics like the health care system and small epidemiology topics not included in the 7 series.

Yeah I agree. End of the day, it's First Aid that's gonna save your a** so obsessing over the trivial details of Kaplan is really a waste of time.
