I know it's a year off (I'm just starting intern year) and I also know that this is kind of a stupid topic, but I'm curious to hear the pros and cons of the bouffant versus the cap for OR wear. Anyone?

The only pro/con I can think of is the bouffant doesnt mat your hair down making you look like you just got out of bed.
I wore a bouffant all through residency but for some unknown reason I wear caps now. One of our CRNA's came back from the Middle East with 2 red, white, and blue caps...one for me, one for him. Embroizened on the front of his cap: MAVERICK. On the front of mine: ICEMAN. (So I can dawn the cap and sink into my delusionary state of flying F-14s in Topgun... 👍 )

I'd extend that statement to ALL men, not just bald ones. A bouffant is a surefire way to make yourself look like a girlie man (no offense JPP ).

Go for the cap, boys. As a female, I have to wear the boufant (although I once saw a butch lady with a cap), but when I see my man wearing his cap, I think to myself "That's hot".

I must respectfully disagree--I'm a guy and I love the bouffant. Light, airy, flowing... can you think of anything more manly? Didn't think so.

I do not really care however, the bouffant tends to make those with a large girth look more rotund.

If you can hit on a chick with one of those things on your head no ruptured AAA can scare you. Some people take the wraparound beard hat thing and fashion some sort of ghetto gangster doo-rag with it by tieing the chin straps around the back of the head. I also have this jamaican rasta hat that one of the techs gave me.. savin it for my ca3 year.
