What is that about? Does that mean they REALLY really want you to have research experience? will i have a chance if i haven't researched?

of course. I'm sure there are plenty of people with neither that get in every year.

There are plenty of people at COMP who have done absolutely 0 research. Fill it out. They do like to see community service type stuff though, so if you have that, bonus.
