I always get confused and leads me to dilema when chosing write answers for brain parts and structures.

Some divide in Forbrain, Midbrain, Hindbrain...

Some divide in Frontal, Temporal...etc

Some divide in structures (ex, limbic, brainstem, cerebellum...etc)

I know there are fuctions of brain that overlap with some parts.

I get confused and can't think of any easy way to memorize them.

Does anyone can pinpoint me to website or reference where I can get he concept and structure to my hippocampus (I believe this is where short term -> long term memory)?

here is what I have on the brain. Basically something i compiled after going through a few books and wiki

Nervous sys = 1. PNS 2. CNS

PNS = Somatic + autonomic
somatic = sensory + motor
autonomic = sympathetic + parasympathetic

CNS = Brain + Spinal cord

Spinal cord = dorsal horn, ventral horn, outside(white), inside(grey)

Brain = forebrain + Mid Brain + Hind Brain
( outer = gray and inner=white---corpus collosum is biggest white matter part)

Forebrain = 1.telencephlon ( cerebrum + olfactory bulb)
2. Diencephlon (thalamus + hypothalamus)

Midbrain = visual + auditory

Hind Brain (Rhombencephalon) = Cerebellum + Pons + Medulla

Nice breakdown, flow diagrams on notecards work really well for understanding the outline of the CNS and PNS.👍

yeah I have it as a flow diagram. And i do that for most of my notes but I have no clue how to post a flow diagram here so had to type it like that, sorry!

I am glad it helped though. Any new pointers on brain lemme know I will add them to my flow chart too.
