When i was looking at the Hand skills thread i thought of my band luck with injuries. I spend alot of time playing sports but this will probably end when i enter dental school (most likely fall 07) because of the time factor as well as the fact i have broken my arm/wrist 4 times in the last 2 years and last week broke my index finger. Since middle school I have not gone 6 months without a trip to the orthopedic surgeon for something. Thats life, I shouldent have to much of a problem becasue i will most likely stop most of the things that casue me problems but i would guess ill at least break an arm/wrist/finger once in the 4 years. I'm just curious if this happend to anyone and whats the reprocussions? repeat a year if it occurs in 3rd/4th year?

Thanks

Good luck getting disability insurance for your wrist and hands once you practice.

It will definitely not be as easy as someone with no or fewer injuries to their hands. If your are entering dental school you will have four years (assuming no injuries) to show that there are no recurring problems with your hands/wrist. Assuming they have healed with no further problems you may be able to get a policy with no exclusions. Each case is underwritten individually so they take all sorts of things into account but get ready for a lengthy, in depth underwriting process.

Was the website removed due to SDN's advertising policies or was it forgotten???
