so i posted my scores for you all yesterday and I thought I would give you my input on everything.
BIO- 18
I used Kaplan and topscore, unlike topscore the real thing did not have any classification problems. I felt like there was a lot more evolution and genetics on the real thing compared to Kaplan. And for the plant plant stuff, only one plant question.
G CHEM-18
Pretty straight forward, I was expecting more thermo questions and only got one or two.
O chem-21
I have always liked o chem and it was pretty straight forward, there were a few crazy spectra they wanted me to read and I had no clue, I just had to make a random guess and I obviously got them wrong. O well, life goes on.
PAT-21
Key holes were pretty easy and the Top-Front-end were similar to that from kaplan. Then came those damn angles, these were almost impossible to figure out. I sware they only differed by four degrees between all of the angles, Kaplans angles are a joke, I thought the real thing was much similar to the questions on ace the dat . com. I think I still missed almost every angle. I had been getting 23 to 24 on kaplan, but when the angles are cake, those are easy scores to get. I am still happy with a 21, its in the 93rd percentile.
Reading-18
OH WELL, I have never been a good standardized test taker, thats for sure and I swear I had a mental breakdown, but I got through it ok though.
Then quant-16
this was aweful, its been forever since I did highschool math and fourty five minutes isnt much time to answer the questions, especially if your slow at it like me. I had to guess on the last five and probably got them all wrong, but thats just the way it goes sometimes.
You guys know, i really should be working on my personal statement but its just nice not having to study anymore.
Is it true that the quant section is not weighted as much, if so, that would be really nice.
Well, like I said before, my TS 19, which I pretty happy about and an AA of 18, which I am not so happy about. But you know what, it could have always gone worse so walking away from the testing center with an 18 isnt too bad.
Where any of your hearts racing at a million miles an hour when you hit the submit button, mine sure was.
Well, I would like to thank everyone for their help and input on this forum. I know it helped me out a lot.
Best of luck to you all, Im going fly fishing on the river and drinking some beer
and could you let me know if you think I should retake it or not. I am planning NOT to. I have over 200 hours of research experience, 100 hours of dental shadowing, and 300 hours of volunteering work. MY GPA is a 3.76 and science is a 3.53. My letters are good, and I am going to finish my personal statement and mail in my primary here in the next two day. . . Yes I know its a bit late but o well. I was wondering what you all thought about my chances getting into a school somewhere in the midwest.
