Today is the last day of my didactic education in pharmacy. I'm SOOO glad it's over!

(But that's the easy part. I'll be looking forward to doing a 60-hour week crunch time on these clerkships.)

Congratulations.

I too am almost finished. After three months of cooling my heels
waiting for the wheels of the bureaucracy to turn, I have finally received my authorization to test for the MPJE from NABP.

Murphies law states it will always take longer and be more expensive than you had planned for. Regarding NABP this is a truth. In their literature they state six weeks. It took them a month just to open my envelope. I know this because there was an error and they sent it back to me. Three days later I had it back on their desk and the real count began from that point.

In contrast the Washington State Board was very timely. The identical NABP reciprocity process in 1993 took thirty days. The only thing that has changed since then is now they are computerized and more "efficient".

When it comes time to deal with them for NABPLEX add lots of extra time to allow for their process. Mind you, I have been on the "fast track" . Best of luck to those of you on the main road...
