I have a quick question about certain math requirements. During my freshmen year, I took Brief Calculus with Applications 1 and 2, not Calculus 1 and 2. I was wondering if this would satisfy the calculus requirements from medical schools. I asked one professor about this issue and he assured me that the class that I took would be sufficient. I still want a second opinion on this topic and was wondering if anyone could provide me any feedback.

Thanks a lot

If they are 4 credit classes you're probably fine.

You could even call up med school admissions to inquire. This way, you'll get something set in stone. And I don't think it matters by credits. Regardless if it is 3 or 4, if its calc I or calc II, that should still fulfill the requirements.

As long as it's listed under the math department (unlike, say, business calculus), I don't see why it wouldn't work. But you're unlikely to get the peace of mind you're obviously really looking for unless you call up the med schools themselves and hear it straight from their mouths.
