Hey all, i am filling out secondaries and i most of them ask to give an "Brief" explanation of why i want to be a DO and why i want to go to their school. I was wondering what constitutes "brief" Is it like 500-600 words? MOre? less?? Please help....what i have is about 600 words, worried it is too long. THANKS ALL!!!and GOOD LUCK to all the applicants

This is so subjective. How good is your story? I've had tremendous success with my ~400 word essay. Doesn't seem to me that a 600 word essay would be unreasonable as long as it's focused on responding to the prompt.

Some people on SDN let others critique their essays. Maybe you should give that a try if you're still concerned.

Good luck!

469 words, no more, no less. j/k. Really, you can't qualify it with a number of words. Be clear and concise. Don't list too many points because you want to be able to say something different from what you write in your essay.
