Hi all,

I just wanted to get people's opinions on this program.

I really heard it is a good program and is very much based on producing private practioners.

Do u think it has a strong connection pool to get a good private practice job after leaving??

I can only speculate on this, speculation based on some numbers. B&W seems to be top program judging after the number of positions filled through the match. How good of an indicative this is wih respect to the programs strnghts is arguable. See <a href="http://www.grogono.com" target="_blank">www.grogono.com</a> for more debate.
I believe that it has to be a good program but you can judge that only after the interview/visit, if it meets your demands. Again what's good for me is not good for you. As far as private practice connections are concerned, I believe they are good at that. Although as far as I know, th biggest private Anesthseia practice network in New England is "Anesthesia Associates of Massachusetts" <a href="http://www.aamas.com/" target="_blank">http://www.aamas.com/</a> who are currently in charge of resident education at Boston University, a rather small program, with little research going on. (compared to the big names again). But again, the guys there trained at Harvard affiliates, most ogf them. So maybe B&W is the right ramp....; ask your advisor, he's from Boston, should know. I can only speculate.

Brigham is supposed to be a really good program. The problem with talking with people in Boston is they don't like any program unless it is a Harvard program!! So that is why I wanted others opinions on the program, either thru word of mouth or by interviewing.

I really liked the program. The adv. seems: It is more geared towards private practice (less academics) then MGH or Hopkins and it seems to be much more benign in terms or personality then the MGH, Hopkins, or UCSF.

I figure they must have a large pop. of private docs out there in the country. Plus I see one adv. being that Harvard people seem to only like Harvard people, so coming from this program can link u with MGH and BI grads too??

I would appreciate feedback on this.
