Today is the first day of the rest of my life, or at least the start of my 4th decade of life. Just think thirty years ago, I was born into this cold, cruel world. This is definitely going to be the decade that I get into a medical school class.

I guess I better start acting like an adult? HA! 😎

Didn't believe it till I was here. The thirties kick the crap out of the twenties for happiness and just about everything else.

You are now truly in your prime🙂

I am only 29 and I am dreading my 30's it just seemed like I would never reach this old. Sheesh...when did I have to grow up.

Congratulations. Life becomes a lot better once you're in your 30's, by the way.

I totally agree -- I'm in better shape, am far happier (b/c of an improved ability to put things in perspective, maybe), and generally have a better life than I ever did in my 20's. Yay!

P.S. Happy birthday, OP!

Well happy birthday ancient one! I turn 29 tomorrow, and I think that I'll just stay there for a while.

:hardy: Woo-Hoo! Happy belated 30! This is our year!

Thanks everyone! I already feel more confident about this next decade.

Any advice about my OU interview? Really looking forward to blowing it away. Luckily interviews are, for me, the easy part of the application process. Maybe it's because my 15 years of waiting tables which makes talking to strangers comes quite naturally. Should I brush up on the health laws? Does the AdCom like "stress" questions? Where should I stay, Downtown? Is the entire interview process, minus the tour, held at the library? 😎

I turned 30 in October and the only difference between 20 and 30 for me is the grey hair poking through (runs in the family). Nothing a bottle of Ms. Clairol can't fix!

Anyway, my 20's were full of crazy adventures and I definitely hit a learning curve. I reckon my 30's will be a little more sane, but with plenty of adventure, too!

Well, I have only been 30 for a few months, but so far in my 30th year I have had 2 children, stressed about medical school applications, and figured out how to install a pedestal sink in my bathroom. Other then that it has not seemed too much different than 29. But I am definitely looking forward to seeing where it goes from here 🙂
