I am writing this post on behalf of my former landlord (of 5+ years). He is renting an apartment a few blocks from Maimonides hospital in Brooklyn (neighborhood on the Sunset Park/Borough Park border). Having lived in the neighborhood for a number of years, I would say that it is a nice place to live. You will be very close to the trains (very close to the D line and a few blocks from the N and R), on average about 40 minutes from midtown Manhattan depending on time of the day, and 20 minutes from Coney Island/Brighton Beach. Lutheran hospital in also not far from the neighborhood either.

Does your landlord want to rent the apartment for a year-long lease, or would month-to-month be ok? I'm looking for a room to rent for a month during a rotation at Maimonides.
