I'm a recent IMG new to Brooklyn, and am planning on taking the USMLE Step 1 in January 2017. I am preparing for it full-time during the week, very intensely, trying to cover a lot of material quickly but thoroughly, and would work well with somebody who is similarly working on this full-time. On the other hand, I am aiming to take weekends and evenings off (though I am flexible).
I am just at the beginning of my preparation (have almost finished going over the Kaplan immunology chapter), which I know unfortunately doesn't work for a lot of you looking for someone who has finished their first read.
If there is anyone who would be interested in meeting regularly (preferably at least twice a week) to go over material from either Kaplan, First Aid, or Pathoma, that would be wonderful.
Alternatively, I wanted to see if any of you in NYC might be looking for someone to study with in the sense of going to the same cafe/public library and working on our own (but different) sections, a couple of days a week. I find it difficult to be studying by myself so many hours each day, and it would be lovely to have someone to liven up the time - to take breaks together or maybe switch things up with some joint UWorld questions or such. Essentially, someone to make the next few months of studying a little less of a slog.
