Is the difficulty level of the questions in the BRS books reflective of the exam?

Based on the BRS questions it seams that one should know the steps and coenzymes etc. for the metabolism and interconversion of all AA. How many questions like that can one expect to see?

I suppose for a passing score knowing the major disorders caused by single enzyme defects is enough, but is it enough for an awesome score?

BRS Biochem has horrible questions. Believe me, they are MUCH more nitpicky and difficult than the Step I questions. Those on the Step I are usually more straightforward, basic, and are always a part of a clinical vignette.
