Which series do you prefer for 1. Board Reviews and 2. Supplements for class?

Gross Anatomy

Embryology

Biochemistry

Histology

Pathology

Neuroanatomy

Microbiology/Immunology

Physiology

c/o 2011? What's the hurry?

For class, BRS > HY but there may be a better review book than either. It may depend on how tests are written at your school so it may be best to ask around when you get there.

For boards, come back in 2 years

One series isn't better overall than the other series. Individual books are better in one series than the other.

BRS Phys and Path are good. I like HY biochem and histo. Haven't really looked much at the rest of them. I have the Goljan Rapid Review Path and really like it so far.

Hi Welcome to med school. For the boards, I would check the Step 1 forum. For class, my experience has been (and I own literally every review book known to man):

Gross Anatomy- BRS

Embryology- BRS

Biochemistry- Lippincott for biochem and High Yield for Cell Bio

Histology- Roadmap USMLE was good.

Pathology- Rapid Review by Golijan no contest.

Neuroanatomy- Neuro made ridiculously easy.

Microbiology/Immunology- Micro made ridiculously easy.

Physiology- BRS

Pharm- Lippincott's

Behavioral Med- BRS

Good Luck!! Happy New Year.
