Hello everyone,
can anyone tell what do BSS scores tell?i saw many used them.what was their BSS scores range?would like to know if anyone can tell me score BSS correlations?

I was given these books so I am doing them. There have been several threads about BSS that go about 4 posts usually the OP has at least 2 posts and then dies. I think BSS is still very valid just leaving popularity due to the abundance of online qbanks. I do hope that you get what you are looking for.

Hello scube,good to find atleast one doing BSS 🙂 what is your score on BSS?
I agree,i have gone through those posts and mostly ended soon,and not much information available for BSS.anyways i hope i do get answer atleast for score correlations,may seem bit awkward asking this as no one would ever have taken it as assessment tool or something But i would really appreciate if someone can share what their BSS score,UWscores,Kaplan scores,Nbme scores and final test scores were?

I dont have a score. I am using the paper format, a test at a time to build endurance and to learn/ reinforce what I have studied. There is another student in my class using these. We both really like evaluating sources and both give them a thumbs up. BSS was good 5 yrs ago, the test has changed but not enough to make BSS worthless. you wont see as many AIDS questions or two step logic questions in the BSS but you will get plenty of that when you do UW. I would still recommend you use Usmle World for your final prep. GOOD LUCK>

I second that buddy, we both lucked out that we got those books for free, too, I still can't believe that my copies don't look like the spines were even cracked. The word for everyone to keep in mind, or actually name is Goljan.

As he points out in his review, "there's only so many ways they can ask you this guys!" You can carry one of these books with you anywhere. I just think that doing another 3850 questions is an advantage, period.

Also they are more stimulating than our SAQs at school.

I just ordered the BSS books. Can you describe the questions that are asked... are they more concept or detailed oriented? I agree that doing 3500 questions can't hurt. Thanks for the response

The books were created before the USMLE gave a big push to the logic/vignette questions. Some are vignette, some are quick recall. I consider it a warm up for UW
