Hey everyone! So we're here in the middle of interview season and like everyone else I'm stressing. Anyways I received that long app received/under review update on AADSAS from BU on 8/5 and haven't heard a thing from them since. I noticed that people who went under review in Sept. are already receiving interviews. Does this mean I've been passed over Anyone else who went under review on 8/5 not heard back yet??

I am in the exact same boat as you. This has been in the back of my mind for so long.


But BU does give out interviews throughout the year. I recall someone last year who submitted in June and got a interview call in February, so it is not over yet!

We most likely have been looked over and 'put in another pile' though. I guess it just depend on how they are treating that file now.



add: this is kind of funny, we both have a Nova Interview only so far 😳

Thanks CANgnome I would gladly take a February interview as long as I get in somewhere this cycle! I just visited Boston for the first time this summer and loved it so BU and Tufts are two of my top choices. I am so thankful for my NOVA interview (my other top choice) but I got that beginning of Sept and haven't from any other schools since...kinda weird. When is yours btw?

So I submitted by application really early so my BU my decision date on aadsas says 07/15 but I took my DATs on august 22 so my scores weren't sent to them until a lot later. Do you think they passed over my application because I havent heard anything from them?

I would love to go to BU as well. My Nova interview is on the 9th.

I would love to go to Tufts too! I got 'on hold for fall grades' from 2 schools so I am hoping that BU (and other places) is similarly holding onto my application.

Definitely looking for december+ interviews!

Same here, my app status @BU was updated to "Under Review" on 09/29 and I haven't heard anything from them after that. Someone with status updated on the same day already got his/her interview invite. That has made me losing hopes and really stressed out, especially when I haven't received any interview or rejection. It's been a long crazy wait...🙁

Habbas, congrats on the interview invite! when did your app go under review on aadsas and how long after that did you get the invite?

Haha... same here. Under review since 7/15... at this point, I don't expect too much from BU 🙁

Indiana and Case put me on hold.

I think Case has finished with their interview invites, so being put on hold definitely adds some brightness to things, seeing how even on predents they rejected about 1/3 of their applicants.

Yeah i am right with you on the 8/05 date and have not heard anything since. Maybe they are doing LIFO accounting with their application process.

is it a possibility that BU is overlooking those candidates with high GPA like the OP there because BU is anticipating highly qualified candidates to take other schools over them??

idk im tryn to make sense of my situation and so far i got an invite from penn case umich and sf which were the hardest schools i applied to. but i didnt get an invite from nyu... or usc (SC deferred my app..). im not trying to say that these schools are not competitive or good but i just dont understand these interview pick and choose deal
