hey guys, i know there were alot of you SDNers who interviewed w/ me @ BU on 11/22 and i was wondering if you had heard back yet! I just got my acceptance letter last night and im still in "wtf mode" since witzburg was all like yea there are 10,000 applications this year blah blah
what did you guys think of the school? let me know if you decide to go! (i have no idea where i'll end up yet)

Hey, I interviewed the same day and heard NADA. And I only live 1/2 hour away from the school, so I have no idea what's going on. Another person who lives slightly closer got an acceptance letter Saturday (via snail mail... maybe my town still uses pony express...)

that is so great to hear! congratulations! would you pick BU over NYC schools? i am sad to leave my hometown since cornell showed me NO love. we should get lunch at sinai sometime!

yah! I was there on 11/22 also. ajt2003 sat next to me at the dean's talk. i usually pep talk myself during those dean speeches, "you're a rock star lightnk102, you're a rock star. yes you are" (sometimes i play puff daddy's "victory" in the car as I'm pulling into the school's parking lot. it helps anxiety). so when ajt leaned over, i leaned away suspiciously. that is, until he whispered to me, "excuse me, are you lightnk102?"

it still makes me laugh to think of that moment.

i think i responded something like "....yes. are you ajt2003?" i couldn't help but feel kinda excited (in a weird pre-blind date sort of way), and simultaneously very very geeky. but, i suppose now that i'm officially a "med student to be", i shouldn't hide my geeky side any longer.

lucky for me, ajt happened to be quite a rock star in his own right.

Sounds like you're in exactly the same boat I'm in. When did you interview? I interviewed on Dec. 8.

I interviewed on November 3...I live in a really small town with reeeaallly slow postal service, but seriously---this is killing me! I just want to know already!!! Good luck with it...I hope we both hear back soon! 🙂

I am in a rather small town as well. Maybe that's part of why it's taking so long... I won't even get to open the letter, as I am at college out of state. My mother will open it and let me know what it says. 🙂 I wish you the best!

Hey, me too! I was one of the obnoxious BU Masters girls snickering in the background, which I should apologize for because I'm not usually "that girl". I got my letter the other day while I was on a plane back from Europe! WOOHOO BOSTON!

I've been watching this thread for a couple of days, and before I string my mailman up by his toenails...is anyone else still waiting on a response from BU that interviewed last fall? I live just north of Boston, and am amazed that nothing has come yet.

I'm actually visiting family abroad now, but my cousin is checking my mail for me and she just sent me the bad news that I got a letter in cali indicating that my decision will be deferred to march. Blah. Too many damn waitlists for me. 👎
