I just got BU interview in the e-mail, for those of u also got the same e-mail,
do u guys have the "Regional Admissions Interviews" list?

I dont understand why LA regional interview is in Nov. and only for waitlist?😕
Regional Admissions Interview

Los Angeles, California

WAITLIST ONLY
November 6-7, 2006

San Francisco

WAITLIST ONLY

November 29-30, 2006

December 1, 2006

Wow, congrats to you for your BU interview.

I have still not heard from BU after the 2nd-ary email asking me to pay them $60 to continue the application process.

In fact I spoke to a lady at the admissions office this morning, and she said it sometimes take the adcoms up to 3 months to finish reviewing an application packet.

Dude...when is your interview date???

are interviews that are held later considered " a waste"?????????

and by later i mean past jan or feb?

mine is in first week of feb......😳

are these for alternates or waitlists? thank you 🙁

mines in march 😕

I got the same email just minutes ago. I asked for a San Diego interview. Is that alternate as well?

I am way interested to find out.

I got BU today too...scheduled for march 5th! I called and they said they are completely booked and march is all they had. 😱

checked my email just now after my case interview...February 9th!

Mine is march also. I wonder who will actually go? I am planning on it. Especially if I can do it in San Diego!

I think the waitlist means the dates for those regional interviews are full, and if u still want for those dates in CA, they will put u in waitlist, if people cancels, then they will add u in~

I called and they said the other regional dates aren't waitlist.

Why go to boston in march when you can regionally interview in jan? Secretary said they are wieghted the same.

Yeah, only LA and San Francisco are for waitlist only, others are not.
How come some of u got Feb., ans some March?
I got interview invites today, and they gave me Jan.~

Must be alphabetical. That what I hope at least!

my BU invite was just given to me today also, Feb 17 is the day. I am sure we are all wondering the same thing... is it really worth going to? isnt feb really late into the cycle? i really dont wanna fly out to boston (i'm from az) for an alternate/waitlist spot. wont most of boston be full by feb?? anyone have any insight?

I called and they said I have a great chance at getting in if I interview in march.

I was kind of asking like I didn't want to waste my time for an alternate spot. They convinced me it was a legit interview.

Does that mean an inteviewer in march has the same amount of chance as one in Jan??? Did somebody ask and called why some ppl are interviewed in march and some in feb and jan????

A big admissions guy at BU told us at our interview that he's far more critical when he does regional interviews.

He tries to make sure that the regional interviewee is not using BU as a backup, which is more likely when the person doesn't want to fly out to Boston.

oh i believe it cause i was wondering the same thing. there's no reason why you shouldn't go see the school and the city if you're thinking about spending 4 years there. if you're serious about the school the travel costs are worth it

yeah... I got March 2 for my BU interview. imo, i think that's awfully late... i call and ask about that too, but i guess i can't until after the weekend.

well, i'm still gonna look on the bright side... at least i got an interview with them at all, hehe.

Then why would they fly all the way from east to west if they are less favorable to the regional interviewees?

In my opinion, this regional interview is more like for recruitment purpose.
the letter says clearly " the regional interviews are limited for 'Qualified applicants"

I got Feb 23rd, depending on what UOP decides to do Dec 1st

Okay, for all those who got interviews today.....will you still go to boston even if you get in to other places and put a deposit down on DEC 1?

I got my interview in email today for february

Not sure, I think I might still go, because I never been to Boston, but heard it is a great city~

Mine just came via email for March 6th - guess they're booking them back to back? Just how many people are they interviewing anyways...?

Got my email yesterday for Feb 5th

The very first interview date for this cycle was in the third week of october...considering other schools started in early sept i figure that jan/feb really isn't that late after all.

If that consoles you any...

hey guys,
I've been reading your posts and I just wanted to let you know that an interview in March at BU is not necessarily for the waitlist. I interviewed in mid March and I was notified of acceptance early april. I also did a regional interview and it was not harder than any of my other interviews. It was actually my easiest one. I guess it depends on who you get.

Best of luck to you all

I would keep calling to see if they have open spots, esp end of the year when people start cancelling their interview. You will definitely get early spots like in Jan or Feb.
PS I'd go to another school if I could. Or go to med school. 🙁

If you are one of the ones who ended up with interviews later on during the semester than you would like, call back now and then to see if spots open up. There is always someone who inevitably cancels their interview for one reason or another and if you are lucky you might be able to snatch an earlier interview date. 🙂🙂

I had a regional interview. It took all of 10 min. I hear the one at the school is an all day affair.
