Hi all,
I was wondering about the essay on the BUMAMS application, it says to describe your research activities, experience, etc. But if you submit a resume which covers that, should one just use the essay as a forum for explaining how much you want to go there, etc. Any help would be appreciated thank you!! :luck:

I applied, but i don't remember what i put down, but from what i recall, i suggest you follow the guidelines. They probably assume that most students are going there for very similar reasons. I submitted a resume, but a resume can only go so far in descrbing the experiences. Think of the BUMAMS application essay as an interview, per se, to explain about why those research activities, experiences, etc were important to you to include in your resume, how it helepd you in your development, and why it might be relevant to a career in medicine. I doubt that talking about why you want to go to the BUMAMS instead of following their guidelines will be looked upon favorably. Good luck!
