okay, so some people (mostly in the MA area) have heard decisions from BU as of last Saturday (acceptance, waitlist, reject) via snail mail.... that probably means the rest of us should be hearing this week! maybe today! eek! the stress is back.

I just got the letter in the mail today and, well, I've been waitlisted. Does anyone know if the waitlist is ranked and whether there's any movement? I'm sad but at least there may be some hope.

Still nothing in the mail for me, and I'm in MA! Ahh, but waiting is so much fun, I'm psyched I get to do it for one more day.

lakun, someone on an earlier thread said that there was a bit less movement for bu than other schools, but you may want to call the admissions office to get some numbers from previous years. i'm rooting for ya...

I just spoke to my grandfather. Got a small thin envelope with a waitlist letter. BU was originally my first choice and I have wanted to move to Boston for the better part of the last 3 years but some thigns just dont work out according to script.

Anyhow after some careful consideration (about ten minutes) I decided I am going to Miami! I will not apply for the waitlist so hopefully that will help one of you out there who was in the same boat. Good luck and I am sure everything will work out for the best. Congrats to those who got in and when it snows and is freezing up there in Boston you can alwasy come visit me in Florida!

I'm thinking they must not have sent them all out at the same time, cause someone in LA got their acceptance this weekend, while we still have people on the East Coast who haven't heard!

I'm a California hopeful at work and just waiting to go home and check the mail!

Hey ya'll. Got the waitlist letter today from BU. I live in Charlottesville, VA and I interviewed Jan. 10th. I couldn't be more bummed, BU was my #1 choice. I've been waitlisted at 4 schools now (BU, Rochester, UVA, and EVMS) and I have 0 acceptances to fall back on. I have a 3.6/33 with a first-author publication, so I don't know what's going on, I thought I'd get in somewhere.

Waitlists have reached St. Louis, and I'm proof!
Not terribly shocking considering my interviewer was basically worried about my opinion of George W. and nothing else.
Good luck on the wait list people, I think i'm pulling off.

Tufts is my top choice anyways, and although I'm "on hold" there post-interview they do accept like 60%...

i just got waitlisted in nj. siempre, i think you and i had the same interviewer... my interviewer also had a lot to say about politics. i think she did pretty much the same thing to all the interviewees, at least on the day that i visited. i thought she was a sweet old lady though...

I called the admissions office today to see if they had just thrown my decision out the window instead of dropping it in the mail, and the lady said "um, er, you're, um, still under consideration." [i pictured the adcom sitting behind door number one, with this huge red sign flashing "NOW EVALUATING: LINGUO1." ]

so they must still be sifting through the piles...is anyone out there still waiting to hear like me?

Waitlisted. At least it's not a rejection...but I was really hoping for an acceptance. I put all of my effort into the last letter I wrote to them...I don't know what else to do to get in!!! And I wonder how much wait list movement there is. Did some searches on the board, but can't seem to find much.

Just for everyone's information, I still have heard nothing from BU one way or another. Last contact I had with them was my interview. 😕

On Saturday, I received the letter placing me on the waitlist.
