hi there
i applied to bu 2 years back when i was interviewd and rejected, then i reactivated this year which i am sure will be rejected as well(still not heard)...i was wondering if i can reapply or reactivate a third time,by improving my part 1 score of 85...i have been accepted at nyu but i am not sure of going there, please if you know something help me

There is no harm in re-taking it. But before you reject NYU think of why you'd want to go to BU, if its worth it in the long run. Weigh all the pro's and con's. Once you graduate it doesn't really matter where you graduated from, if you are going into a private practice.

All said and done if I were you I'd take it again. ( Ya I am a bit crazy ).

Hi greenemerald,
As henna said it doesnt really matter which school you graduated from even if your interested in joining as an associate. All that they care about is do you have a license to practice ?
so if i were you i will go ahead and join nyu instead of retrying b cos its going to become highly competitive as days goes on.This is just my opinion .

HENNA AND BPL,i really appreciate your responses ,u know i wouldnt reject my admission at nyu but deffer my accpetance and meanwhile try this out, actually i am very confused.......😳 maybe another shot at part1 can take me to a 2 year program....who knows....pl advise

Emerald,

Every year IDP addmissions will get more and more competitive. The way this is going, seems to me that in a few years the minimum requirement to apply will be a 90, 3.5 and 270, which means that the average admited scores will be way higher than that.

So, if later for specialty reasons you want to go ahead and retake, do so. But right now hold onto what you have for sure, rather than letting it go.

I wish I could translate this with all its feeling but:
"Mas vale un pajaro en mano, que cien volando". This means:
"One bird in hand is worth more than one hundred flying".

😉

Green emralds:

Ill give you an example. At UPENN interview Dr.lopez told us that if you wanna reapply ,you should show us that you did somthing 2 improve your application...........ex:improved your part-1 score.

If you R not 100% sure that U can improve it,do not wast NYU acceptance.

Don,t miss the boat ,and go a head
there is no ranking.it 's just our imagination .

That's not totally true, there's no official ranking as such but some schools are more reputed than others.

that's right, not that NYU nor BU are very high at it anyway, but ....... 🙄

I would say, follow your instinct, because everything ( even our doubts) happen for a reason. By the way I had a friend who got accepted to NYU and wanted to deffer, he payed the deposit and wrote a request ( yes, you have to pay deposit anyway ) and got rejected. Big mess. Just be careful and good luck.
