BU Tuition deadline question- please help

Hi there I plan to call the school of course but I would appreciate feedback here as well because the last time I called did not rectify my concerns. I had called about a month ago regarding when tuition is due and how to pay and when do we receive an invoice or a bill. Perhaps I did not phrase my question clear enough to them, but they said the "stuff" would be sent out end of may. I did receive info. mid may but this info was just a summary of the finalized tuition and expenses for this year.
So my question: If tuition is due, supposedly, July 1st, how do we pay it? Has anyone received an actual bill in the mail? Or are we just supposed to send a cheque on out and wait for a receipt? It's just that I like to have a bill in advance when I write $30k cheques ! my concern is they say you lose your place in the class if you do not pay by july 1st, is this true?
