BUCOM Question for Current Students

Hey! I saw a comment on Reddit, and I was wondering if there are any current students who can confirm if this is true or not?

The comment was: "Current BUCOM student here! I would VERY HEAVILY consider going to the more established school, especially when it comes to taking CONLEX/STEP. A large portion of my class has still not even been cleared to take COMLEX1 because they were very, very ill prepared m. Also when it comes to studying for COMLEX2/STEP2 our dedicated study period not right before we take it in June instead, it is randomly scheduled throughout the year. A classmate of mine has their dedicated study period in September even though she will not take it until June, which is essentially setting you up for failure because if you want to do anything competitive, you have to score very well on COMLEX2/STEP2"

I am currently choosing between an established school and BUCOM, so I just wanted to see if this is accurate.

If true, this is why one should NOT apply to brand new schools until they graduate at least one class.

Their mission is primary care, which can safely be achieved with little effort.

That's fair. What about a school with a worse reputation like LMU-DCOM, KansasCOM, or even LECOM? Would you choose all three of those over new schools like BUCOM, even if BUCOM has a huge hospital system?

LECOM is a decent school.

KSCOM is to be avoided at all costs. LUCOM? I have an aversion to their ideology, but at least they can graduate students.

I can't recommend LMU.

Is there a reason you can't recommend LMU? There match list looks decent, and I know they have mixed reviews, but the students I spoke to outside the forums said they enjoyed their experience. Asking because it's the closest to my hometown compared to the schools on my WL.
