Buffalo Anyone?

Did anybody receive an e-mail from Buffalo updating the status of your application? I received one stating that my application was deficient one LOR, and that my application was being sent to the admissions committee for review. It stated that it would take three to four weeks before I am notified in writing. I have been waiting patiently, and now it seems like things are finally moving forward. Buffalo requires three letters from science professors, however I sent them two and one from a dentist that has known me very well for ten years. He is my neighbor and close friend, and he can attest to my character and knowledge of the dental profession since he introduced me to it. I did not feel that I could get a letter from another professor that knew me well enough to give an objective evaluation. Do any of you have the same problem with LOR's?

I received an email saying application complete, will be forwarded for review. This was just last week. I'm really hoping for an interview there.

I too got an e-mail saying they had everything and that it is under review. I am guessing they consider math a science prof though cause I had 2 science and 1 math and 1 dentist. Here is to hoping I get an interview from them too! Buffalo is my number one choice!

I am in the same situation - I had 2 science profs and 1 orthodontist letter that they received. I gave them a call about it before though to check and they said that they will take any 3 reference letters even if the one wasn't a science prof and they will count it towards your application. Which was good news, in my opinion, because I'm sure the letter from the orthodontist I shadowed will be stronger than a letter from a random science prof who has no idea who I am..
