Buffalo making me extremely nervous

To the person reading this, I hope you can ease my fears. I was accepted to Buffalo on December first and around the 12th, I sent in my deposit. I sent it certified mail with a return receipt. I never received the receipt but Barbara, who is great, told me that they have it. She also confirmed it twice in two seperate emails. On the website, however, it does not show that they have it and it still has not cleared my bank. She also told me that they are sending out packets to be received in January. Well it is almost the end of the month... and nothing. I really don't want to bother her again and was wondering if anyone got anything back or if their online page was updated with "deposit received." HEEEELLLLPPPPP! I am curious to find out if anyone got anything back. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Hah don't sweat it too much. Just make note of the time and dates that you spoke to Barbara. Also you should be able to go to the post office and find out why you never got the receipt returned. I just sent mine yesterday to Buffalo, certified and return receipt so I will let you know if I get it back soon.

I am in the same boat. I have called and confirmed twice that my deposit was recieved, but the check has still not been cashed. My supplemental fee check from back in September hasn't been cashed either. It is worrisome, but I think they are probably waiting to do all the apps at once. Anyone else in the same boat? ASD? If she confirmed it twice with you, I suggest you relax. Sometimes they do not update their site right away. If you really want to confirm though, just give her your social or AADSAS number as well to make sure she isn't confusing you with someone else with the same first and last name. If you do the previous suggestion and still sweat it, then I suggest you just keep yourself occupied with other things because you seem like the worrying type.

congrats on the acceptances from Buffalo; that's an awesome and affordable school (academic inbreeding is not that pretty though)...lucky you guys, they had my application since december 22 and they still have not even reviewed it!!!! 😱 😡 😡 😡

Oh... you have a better chance than you think. Buffalo's deposit is only 350 bucks. On top of that.... ITS REFUNDABLE until April 1st. Im sure a lot of people send the deposit in even if they dont plan on going just as a backup... a lot of people at the school said they were on the waiting list... Im guessing you should start expecting to hear from them mid to late April when the deposits go back.
