yup, competition for NY state schools will be rancidly vicious this year. I think buffalo has 40 spots for new yorkers and stony has 35 spots for new yorkers. 75 plum spots for all of new york... ouch. Im hoping to pull one of em!

has anyone's aadsas been updated by buffalo recently? Mine still says (since 7/23) that they're waiting for additional information but every other school I've heard from said my application is complete. I thought Buffalo usually updates aadsas on a daily basis? If thats true, any idea why other schools say my app is complete but they're still waiting for my LOE?

if your predents profile is accurate...I am sure you will have no problem. Ugh now I am cowering in feelings of inadequacy. har har.

And sharkteeth88, I don't even have anything form buffalo listed under my AADSAS....and I haven't gotten any application complete emails either...My mailing date was aug 6th. hmm..

Ahh, my stats are very good, and my interviewing skills are above average, but my app is inadequate in certain ways (grew up in a rough area, made certain mistakes). Also, you look like a very competitive applicant as well!

Under the AADSAS Portal, Buffalo has had my app "received/in review" since the 18th. I applied early, and if you applied in August, im sure ur status will change within 2 weeks.

Buffalo is starting to give NYS residents favor so now there's 50 out of the 90 spots for us 😀. so woo freakin hooo 85 spots for all of NY... and i didnt even apply to Stony cuz my stats are so far under their averages

rickblas, my AADSAS app was sent on July 9th and i got an email from them on July 23rd saying it was complete and under review, it'll probably take a little longer now since there's more apps to sort thru

Thanks for the responses everyone.

I emailed Barbara Weinberg on Friday and she still hasn't gotten back to me so I called the admissions office today and the woman told me that it appears to her that they have my LOE but the processing people haven't gotten to it yet because I'm in the second mailing from AADSAS (8/6) and she thinks it'll take another week to get to it. I don't know why its taking so long just to process a letter but oh well, as long as it's there I guess. Does anyone know when Buffalo starts sending out interview invites?

this would be awesome! that's 72 spots for us = better chance of getting an interview!!

I guess you guys are right. I am just too impatient; I guess I'll wait! I did get an app complete from columbia on aadsas today so woo.....an interview would be better. No update form buff yet!

Hey Guys,

I spoke to Barbara last week because I had to update my address info and she said that interviews will start going out the last week of August first week of September. Its killing me too esp cuz a couple of the admissions officers have offices in the building my lab is in and they said the 2nd week of August so I started to get pretty nervous I was being ignored! lol Good luck everyone!
