Does anyone have any current information on the program at University of Buffalo. I have heard conflicting stories over whether it is still moving forward, and seeking to fill residency slots?

They already have 2 PGY-2s that I believe were selected outside of the match (not sure about that): https://resident.med.buffalo.edu/photo/default.asp?p=14.

I guess they were able to gain back accreditation after closing for a bit due to all of the current faculty quitting.

when i saw their program pop back up on ERAS, i emailed the PC and she said they are participating in the match this year for 2016. whether or not they already have people in mind for those slots, idk.

If they weren't in the match last year and they are this year, then they'd be missing a year of residents. So most likely they'll recruit thru the match for the residents starting in 2016 (like everyone else), and they'll recruit outside of the match for those starting immediately in 2015.

See above. They took 2 residents that started in 2014. Also according to the ACGME website they are still accredited: http://www.acgme.org/ads/Public/Programs/AccreditationHistoryReport?programId=26038

Also the ERAS program list still has them as participating.
