I'm planning on applying to UNC-Chapel Hill's pharmacy school after my junior year (currently a sophomore) and I am looking for some advice from those who may be more knowledgeable than me, or who may go to UNC.
Here is some general info:
I am a sophomore at UNC-Wilmington
Overall GPA - 3.82
Math/Science GPA - 3.87
Complete PCAT scores (or just composite) - Not taken yet, what is good for UNC??
Pharmacy experience obtained - volunteer pharmacy assistant over the summer at a non-profit human service organization
Self-perception of interview skills - decent, I have never interviewed but I am a fairly good/confident speaker.
This past semester I took organic chem 1 and human anatomy 1 and received an A in both classes. Next semester I will be enrolled in orgo 2, anatomy 2, quantitative analysis (I'm a chem major), and microbiology.
Beyond that coursework, what are some of the best things I can do to increase the strength of my application? I realize UNC is a very competitive school, but I think if I keep my grades up and bolster my resume a little I may have a good shot! Also, UNC would be in state for me, which would increase my chances.
Thanks a lot for any advice you can offer!
