So I need some much needed motivation, Im Freaking burned out, and so tired of studying, I know I shouldnt give up, but I'm totally tired and not scoring as high as want on any freaking practice exams *sigh*!🙁
With DAT's two weeks away I feel like I wanna quit!

Anyways just wanted to vent, anyone else studying and feeling like they are hitting a brick wall:bang:

I hear ya... I have my exam next Saturday (the 15th) and I'm getting tired of studying already. However, I just try to keep pushing myself. My scores haven't been as high as I have wanted on my practice tests either. I've gotten 18 TS on my last two and it's kind of scaring me. So yeah, you're not the only one... Haha

i think we all feel like that
i feel like things arent really goin anywhere, and Im not really retaining information.
you just gotta study hard for couple hours, take good breaks, and get back to studying.
keep pushin yourself cause this will be the only time youll be takin the DAT (hopefully)..

goodluck

Oh yeah, I'm right there with you.

I haven't been scoring as highly as I'd like to be on practice tests and my test is on Tuesday. I don't plan on doing much of anything Monday so I know that I just have to push through and just keep working until then. :prof:

I'll have read all of Cliffs AP Bio for a 3rd/4th time by the end of tonight. I started skimming through it around 7:30 trying to brush up on the stuff things that were still a little confusing like those stupid lac and TPR operons 😡.

Since I have the smiley thing open. I'll end with this one...

:boom:

Goodluck buddy, 18 TS is not bad, I scored a point or so higher on my actual DAT's last year when it came to the sciences. So keep pushing!

LOL love the smileys, well atleast your not doing what I'm doing, everytime I hit something confusing I reassure myself that it will not show up on the test and I move on. Im soo screwed!

Thats how I feel, especialy when it comes to ochem....I feel like I forget everything the next minute.

Oh yea its my second freaking time taking this darn test!🙁

Mine is only a week away and I still don't feel ready at all...but I've already rescheduled a ton of times, and its getting to the point where if I reschedule again I'll end up having to take it on a much later date. The fact that if I screw it up I can't retake until November is also really scary! I really don't wanna have to spend all this money to reapply again... :scared:

Holopeachy: I belong in this family...about 2 wks away, have headaches every morning getting out of bed thinking I have to do this and that, and they all equal to "suffering".

Have a question for you guys...

I took the DAT last year and bought Topscore, and now it has been a year and of course I'll have to BUY it again if I want to assess my level. However, I'm unemployed at the moment and poorer than any of you. I'm grateful that I'm not sleeping under a bridge. So my question is, do you think it's necessary to get TS?

Well, you can just think about how much more your life will suck after a piss poor DAT performance.....

Just saying it could always be worse...

I was about to post this exact same thread in the morning today. I AM EXHAUSTED. I know I dont know everything 100 % but I think I know decent. But the question is where that decent take me.

This will be my 2nd time take DAT and the PRESSURE IS ON!!!!

my cheeks start burning just thinking about it and my hands are shaky. I was in teh exact same position last month when I was 10 days before my exam on august 10. SO I decided to postpone it. Now I am back to the same position and exam is on 18th. OMG!!

I am a very to-do list kind of person But with everything going hay-wire in my life I cant focus. My dad lost his job, and because of financial issue I wont be attending the MAsters program I had opted to attend in the meantime or use as a back up if DAT didn't go well. My best friend is creating drama in my life and **** keep getting worse.

I am like please 1 more week of strength and dedication. Any advice anyone?? What do your to-do lists looks like for the last week? I need to take TS 3 and Achiever 1 2 3. And hopefully do all CDP 1 more time.

Hmm tough call on the Topscore deal, unless you have some other way of determining where you stand then dont get Topscore, but if u dont, then absolutely get it.
Being that it is one the most comparable practice tests out i recommend getting it, beg borrow steal, do what you have to do to get the 50 bucks. Because youll know if ur ready or not once u take topscore. Because if ur not ready and you take the DAT, then you gotta beg borrow steal a whole lot more than just 50 bucks.

I don't get headaches, I get migraines, but they usually only occur once every 3-4 months, but over the past week or so I've had two of them and I'd be willing to bet they're directly related to the stress of my upcoming DAT.

OK GUYS, you are all making me even more depressed.😛

Wine anyone? Cause im about finish a whole bottle by myself!

my DAT is also 2 weeks away from today. i am watching chad's videos right now, on a friday night, trying to make up for my horrible score in gchem on a full length practice test i took today...

i feel like i have waaaaay too much to do and not enough time, but i've rescheduled 3 times already. i just hope i get everything done by then and feel ok. good luck to us all. i want wine. 😀

Seriously though, goodluck everyone. Being that its Friday night and we are all on SDN shows alot of dedication. Im sure we will all do great. It's the last few weeks...home stretch! Give it your all and it will be way worth it!👍

Haha I too am sacrificing Friday night to watch Chad's videos...I wish my gen chem teacher was as good as him because then I wouldn't have to watch these videos in the first place!

I think my gen chem teacher was good but I was taking physics I and calculus I at the same time as gen chem I so I kind of shot myself in the foot with that. I did much better the second semester when I stopped taking calculus 😛

It's normal. I feel burnt, like I am getting nothing done ect. I've watched all of Chad's vids and spent countless hours studying. I started about 3 weeks ago and have 2 weeks left before d-day. Just keep going, it will all be over soon. Good luck.

Well, guys, for me it's home stretch. Monday is my exam and I am burnt out, I can tell you that. This is my second time taking it as well, and yet, somehow, I don't feel ready. But then again, I've studied for quite a while - to the point where I start to forget things! The next two days will be just review for me! Good luck to the rest of you! 🙂

Your telling me!! lol ive been in the books for like 2 months. MY test is on tuesday. All im doin from today til tomorrow is PAT prractice tests on CDP and flashcards and relaxing. Just think about how good youll feel when you finish and se that you killed it. just dont go in with a lack of confidence. Confidence is KEYYY!!!

OP..you dont want to be scoring over 20 on all your practice exams

It can give you false confidence and not make you review everything your getting wrong

Get them wrong now so you dont on the real thing

What good is a set of "practice" tests that give you a 30 and then you dont practice for the real thing.

Im sure youll get 20's on the real thing.
