Okay so here is my story:
I'm in my junior year working towards a degree in business management, mainly because i didn't really know what i wanted to do, career wise. Nothing else in the business sector really appealed to be. (I could never be an accountant). So, i started to look at different careers and pharmacy really appealed to me mainly because of the security, salary, and its in the healthcare field. I really like the fact that my work would actually serve a purpose rather than just worrying about money with a business career.
I know it would be too late to finish all the prereq for pharm school and my business degree and I dont want to waste an extra year in school if i dont have too. I plan on taking about 4 of the prereqs before i graduate and hopefully take the rest at night while i work full-time when i graduate. My question is what would be the best job experience to show that I am really commited to pursuing a PharmD degree ? I don't want to be a tech because it doesn't pay that much compared to a typical entry level job. Should I try and volunteer at a VA hospital once a week or something???? I know I am competing will all the science degrees but i really thing pharmacy would be a GREAT career choice given the lifestyle I want. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
P.S.
viva la mexico! today is independence day 🙂
